Successful renewal of ECT’s certificate of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)

Successful renewal of ECT’s GLP certificate – now also including category 1 (Physical-chemical testing)

April 2024

ECT’s certificate of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) has been successfully renewed in April 2024, for the 9th time since 1994. The successful assessment of conformity with GLP included ECT’s recently established analytical department and electronic raw data archive. In addition to category 4 (Environmental toxicity studies on aquatic and terrestrial organisms), and category 5 (Studies on behaviour in water, soil and air; bioaccumulation), our certificate now also includes for the first time category 1 (Physical-chemical testing).

In compliance with GLP, ECT continues to conduct a broad range of ecotoxicity tests with aquatic and terrestrial organisms, bioaccumulation and environmental fate studies and extends the services to the analytical support of ecotoxicity studies and selected study types determining physical-chemical properties of chemical substances.

For further information on ECT’s experience as certified laboratory according to the OECD principles of Good Laboratory Practice see here.
