Investigation of the effects and the fate of chemicals in the context of an official risk assessment process must generally be conducted according to international guidelines. ECT actively contributes to the development, standardisation and validation of such methods and guidelines. These activities include the organisation of international ring tests as well as participation in working groups of international standardisation organisations.
